He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert Owens and Egenora Patrick Owens; his siblings, Violet Swope, Vera Epps, Katherine Hanna, Bert Brown, Gene Tisdale, Phillip Owens, Dorothy Thompson, Harold Owens and Gayle Charles; and his daughter Joyce Gwendolyn Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Teal Owens; his children, Roger P. "Rocky" Owens Jr. (Renee) of Barnwell, SC, Albert Owens (Miriam) of Scranton, SC and Sandy McFaddin of Kingstree, SC; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Owens, Jennifer Jackson, Kelsey Gender, Anthony Owens, Christopher Owens, Chase McFaddin and Hope McFaddin.
