He is survived by: his spouse Gail Cauthen Ward; his children, Cynthia Ward Kunkle (Richard) of Garden City and James Robert Ward (Linda) of Conway; his grandson Philip Ward (Kara) of Arnold, MD; his great grandchild Amelia; and his brother George H. Ward of Manning, SC.
