He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert McCrea and Lottie Blakely McCrea; his sisters, Uldine M. Boatwright and Iva Nell McCrea; his son Ronnie McCrea; and his close friend Betty P. Eaddy.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Covington (Billy) of Kingstree; his granddaughters, Lisa M. Zimmer (Mitchell) of Arizona, Sandra J. McCrea (Kevin Zaino) of Massachusetts, Ashley M. Greenwood of Connecticut, Amy C. Smith (Chris) of Columbia, Casey C. Coker (Jason) of Florence and Blakely C. Tepper (J. P.) of Florence; his sister Ada Jean Moore (J. V.) of Georgetown; and his former spouse Bertie E. McCrea of Pawleys Island.
