He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Clarence Tyler and Gracie Lee Chandler Tyler; and his brother William Earle Tyler. He is survived by: his wife Helen Scott Tyler of Kingstree; his sons, John Arnold Tyler, Jr. of Kingstree and Jason Tyler of Kingstree; his adoptive son David Turner (Heather) of Hartsville; his grandchildren, John Arnold "J. T." Tyler, III (Anna) of Hemingway, Bryan Alexander Tyler (Kalyn) of Lake City, Traycie Channler Tyler of Kingstree, Jaden Ashton Tyler of Kingstree and Klaire Elizabeth Young of Kingstree; his nieces and nephews, Bill Tyler (Tammy) of New Zion, Russell Mouzon (Rebecca) of Tarboro, NC, Marcia Gaskins (Lee) of Lake City and Brandy Sledge (Moe) of Rocky Mount, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Sherrill Tyler of Lake City and Dorothy Jane McCaskill (Bobby) of Battleboro, NC.. He is also survived by his grandchildren, going to the lake with his family.
