It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janie S. Knight (Kingstree, South Carolina), who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Knight; her parents, Allie Eulee Kirby and Herbert Benjamin Smith; her sons, Paul Knight and Mitchell Wayne Knight; and her siblings, H. B. Smith, Catherine Duke, Dell Prosser, Danny Smith, Reynolds Smith and Rounette Belue.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Keith Knight, Jr. of Kingstree, Pamela Knight Jeffers of Kingstree and Kenneth Bryan Knight of Kingstree; her grandchildren, Ashley Jeffers of Kingstree, Laurel Green (Ryan) of Union, KY and Jordan Jeffers Stephenson (Austin) of Florence, SC; her great grandchildren, Kelsey Jeffers, Jaxon Jeffers, Ella Claire Green and Hannah Brooks Green; her siblings, Linda Williamson of Kingstree, Brooks Jackson of Indiana, Nita Yarborough (Burnett) of New Zion and Ariel Smith (Cheryl) of Indiana; and her sisters-in-law, Nora Smith, Ina Blake, Anita Haynes and Sue Belue Smith.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Williamsburg Funeral Home (332 E Main St, Kingstree, SC 29556). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
