It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacob Harold McCottry of Kingstree, South Carolina, who passed away on March 16, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James McCottry and Lucille Scott McCottry; his wife Barbara Jean Goodlet McCottry; and his siblings, James McCottry, John McCottry, Lela Wilson, Rosa Lee Lambright and Barbara Smalls.
He is survived by: his son Leonard McCottry of Kingstree, SC; his grandchildren, Lynette McCottry of Philadelphia, PA and Marcus McCottry of Philadelphia, PA; his sisters, Mary Pinder of Miami, FL and Louise Green of Emporia, VA; his sister-in-law Leola McCottry of Philadelphia, PA; and his goddaughter Carolyn L. McClary of Kingstree, SC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Masking and social distancing are required during visitation.
