He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Phillips and Mary Yarborough Phillips; his sister Frances Phillips; and his adoptive parents, Helen Phillips and W. T. Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Phillips of Andrews and Jack W. Phillips of Andrews; his siblings, George Phillips (Dale), Jimmy Phillips (Pam), Willie Phillips (Dorothy) and Judith Yarborough Creel (Larry); his stepsiblings, Emily Strong, Patricia Martin (Harry), Genevieve Gamble (Stanley) and Willie Phillips (Dorothy); his former wife Lisa Phillips; his mother-in-law Joyce Blakeley; and his brother-in-law Tony Tisdale.
