She was predeceased by: her parents, Ashable Kedron "Ked" Springs and Rosalie Parrott Springs; her husband Sammy Canady; and her sons, Creighton Alex Tisdale and Joey Nelson Tisdale.

She is survived by: her daughter Denise D. Thigpen (Milton) of Kingstree; and her grandchildren, Creighton Carlysle Chandler, Jayden Harris Thigpen and Alayia Danielle Thigpen.
