He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Redden and Carrie Brogdon Redden. He is survived by: his son Calvin Eugene Redden Jr. of Florence, SC; his sisters, Hazel Alston of Charleston, SC and Barbara Redden Hammond of Kingstree, SC; his nieces and nephews, Carmen Renee Alexander (Todd), Thomasenia A. Redden, Terrance Chris Kinnard of Charlotte, NC, Trae Kinnard of Kingstree, SC and Thomas Kinnard of Indianapolis, IN; his brother George Rich of Charlotte, NC; and his friend Randy Cuttino.
