It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty P. Szczepanski (Kingstree, South Carolina), born in Marion, South Carolina, who passed away on November 20, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ephraim Pope and Beulah Rentz Pope; her husband Frank Szczepanski; her former husband James Alton Haselden; her daughter LuAnn Welch; her son-in-law Gene Welch; and her grandchildren, Davy McKnight, Gina Welch and Amanda McGee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Denise McKnight (Billy) of Kingstree, SC and Vicki Fulton (Darby) of Salters, SC; her grandchildren, Travis McKnight (Nancy) of Kingstree, Nicole Coker (Trey) of Kingstree, Dwayne Pate (Joyce) of Sumter and Elliott Fulton (Lindsey) of Kingstree; and her son-in-law Kris McGee of Lake City.
