With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas McAlister of Kinards, South Carolina, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on October 10, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest McAlister and Lura Hammond McAlister; his children, Wayne McAlister, Danny McAlister and Linda Clinkscales; and his siblings, Willie McAlister, James McAlister, Adger McAlister, Jerry Wayne "Butch" McAlister, Alvin McAlister, Mae Poole and Ida Campbell.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Bowers McAlister; his sons, Thomas "Tom" McAlister, Jr. of Anderson, Gary McAlister (Arlene Simmons) of Newberry, Tayten McAlister of Newberry and Tyler Mills (Chelsey) of Newberry; his siblings, Mildred Umphrey of Savannah, TN and Melvin McAlister of Belton; and his friend Ray Ruonavaara. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
