He was predeceased by: his parents, James Van Atta and Opal Mamie Wert (Peck); and his siblings, Jimmy Wert and Virginia Wert Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Michael Wert (Christine) of Coal Township, PA, Kathryn Greene of Reston, VA and Susan Carr (Seth) of Victor, NY; his grandchildren, Michael Wert II, Nicole West, Alex Hassanzadeh, Schuyler Carr, Sydney Carr and Sloane Carr; and his great grandchild Teagan West. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
