With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Firouz Motamed of Kiawah Island, South Carolina, who passed away on April 19, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Michael Motamed and Joan Mooney; and his aunt Dr. Fahimeh Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Christine; his children, Meredith Rymer (Tim), Ben, Evan, Nate and Kate Miles (Quinton); his grandson Jackson; his cousin Lawrence Thomas; and his pet Deacon. He is also survived by 6 half-brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Duke University, The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center.
