It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Stephen Long (Kiawah Island, South Carolina), born in Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on July 4, 2019, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Darvin Long and Thelma Reneau Long; and his brother James Darvin Long. He is survived by: his wife Lee Carpenter-Long; and his sisters, Maxine Long Hill, Toby Long Bryant and Ellen Long Faulk.
