With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vera S. Riddle (Kershaw, South Carolina), who passed away on December 27, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Sowell and Susannah Gay Sowell; her siblings, Randolph Sowell, Dorothy Johnson and Pauline Threatt; her son Don Herod; and her stepdaughter Patricia Bragdon.
She is survived by: her former husband Oren Herod; her daughter Dianne (Wallace) of Spartanburg; her husband Richard Riddle; her sister Betty Prim of Atlanta Georgia; her sons, Randy Herod of Kingstree and Perry Herod (Gwen) of Sumter; and her grandchildren, William Gregory (Jenny), Randi Lee Sweatman (James), Matthew Herod (Christi), Benjamin Herod (Charlotte), Jacob Herod (Ashley), B. G. Bragdon (Hannah) and Ashley Bragdon.
