He is survived by: his son Jesse Phillips; his grandchildren, Jessica Samuels (Thomas), Brittany Hinson (Marty) and Ashley Croy (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Trey Hinson and Axel Croy; his daughter Rita Payne (Donnie); his grandson Daniel Payne (Danielle); and his sisters, Linda Newman (Nelson), Judy Phillips and Jessie Hunter (Stephen).
