He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidie O. Plyler and Florence Threatt Plyler; his wife Marcia Elaine Whitaker Plyler; and his siblings, Robert Plyler and Margaret Rollings.
He is survived by: his daughters, Holly Plyler Olds (Doug) and Kelly D. Betenbaugh (Chris); and his siblings, Brenda Horton, Brady Plyler (Pat) and Jerry Plyler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
