He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie E. Broome and Virginia H. Broome. He is survived by: his children, Annette Broome of Mooresville, N. C. and Russell Broome (Joy) of Rock Hill, S. C.; his granddaughters, Amber Williams (Bryan) and Hayley Broome; his great grandchildren, Ethan Williams of Rock Hill, S. C. and Owen Williams of Rock Hill, S. C.; his wife Gail Hinson Broome; and his sisters, Peggy Phillips of Kershaw, S. C. and Betty Wallace of Kershaw, S. C..
