Janet Sims Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Sims of Kershaw, South Carolina, who passed away on December 26, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Edward Hughes and Mabel Seifker Hughes; her husband John Daniel Sims; and her brother Berthold F. Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Donna Helms (Floyd), Johnny Sims, Darlene S. Watson, Sandra Lucas (Rocky) and Fred Dennis Sims; her siblings, Sheila Robinson (Linwood), Lewis Hughes (Judy) and Clyde Hughes (Gwen); and her sister-in-law Minnie Hughes. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Midway Baptist Church (7737 Kershaw Camden Hwy, Kershaw, SC 29067).
