He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonidas D. Hilton and Emily Ruth O'Banion Hilton; his wife Nancy Lou West Hilton; his children, Linda Sue Hilton Perry (Dwight) of Kissimmee, FL, David E. Hilton, II of Ridgeway and Steve L. Hilton (Patti) of Camden; his grandchildren, Heather Perry Doherty (Philip) of Tavares, FL and Sarah Hilton of Camden; and his siblings, Sarah H. Taylor of Greeleyville and Harry Hilton (Nancy) of Kershaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 3334 Providence Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.
