He was predeceased by: his parent Cleo Talmadge Johnson; his son Robert Talmadge "Tal" Johnson; and his sister Linda Compton. He is survived by: his parent Kathleen Smith Johnson; his wife Jacqueline Jean Lancaster Johnson; his children, Charles Andrew "Chuck" Johnson (Mary) of Elgin and Melanie Arline Medeiros; his daughter-in-law Laura Johnson of Columbia; and his siblings, Joyce Johnson (Gerald) and Donnie Johnson (Kathy). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
