She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Edgar Hunter and Marie Langley Catoe; her husband David Larry Helms; and her brother-in-law Billy Joe Helms. She is survived by: her children, Wes Phillips (Elizabeth) of Lancaster, S. C. and Mindy Davis of Kershaw, S. C.; her grandchildren, Matthew Sweatt, Garrett Sweatt (Madison), Tanner Sweatt (Ally), Lila Grace Phillips, Mary Taylor Phillips, Kaylie Davis, Chole Davis and Ethan Davis; her great grandchildren, Kayden and Shelby; her brother Robbie Hunter (Lee) of Kershaw, S. C.; her nieces and nephews, Emilee Hunter and Ryan Hunter; her aunt Gwen Young; her uncle Jimmy Young; her stepchildren, Alea Bell (Chris) of Gastonia, N. C. and David Helms (Sadie) of Mt. Holly, N. C.; her stepgrandchildren, Joshua Inscoe (Anna), Hunter Hallman, Alyssa Hallman, Kalynne Davis (Koda), Lauren Helms, Sarah Helms, Landon Helms, Jacob Helms and Isiah Burgess; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Paisley, Eowyn, Tessa, Evie and Nolan.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Sand Hill Baptist Church (6895 SC-341, Kershaw, SC 29067). A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (6895 SC-341, Kershaw, SC 29067).
