He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Delbert Lucas and Barbara Blanton Lucas (Ralph); and his sister Claudia Faye Lucas. He is survived by: his wife Dora Jane Cook Lucas; his children, Paula Brazell (Ken), Michael Lucas (Libby Sloan) and James Lucas; his grandchildren, Chandler Brazell (Natalie), Mica Lucas, Ashton Lucas and Carson Brazell; his siblings, Wayne Lucas (Becky), Darlene Hobbs (George) and Lisa Bledsoe; and his friends, Steve Wallace, Dale Robertson and David Short.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (3052 Taxahaw Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Happy Home Baptist Church Cemetery (2866 Nichols Hwy, Galivants Ferry, SC 29544).
