It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minnie Lou Jefferies Washington (Jonesville, South Carolina), who passed away on January 18, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Toy Jefferies and Ophelia Jefferies Smith; her husband Leander of Washington; her son Thomas (Reese) of Washington; her grandson Zarchay Smith; and her great grandchild Ava Samuel.
She is survived by: her children, Geraldine Geter of Jonesville, Wanda of Washington, Beverly Fowler (Rodrick), Samuel Jefferies, Leander of Moore and Walter of Washington; her aunt Elizabeth Smith; and her sister-in-law Marjorie Hill Smith. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.
