He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Miles and Sarah Williams Miles; and his siblings, Johnny Miles, Jr., Thelma Richardson, Cora Padgett and Ida Mae Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Ruth Bush Miles; his children, Melvin Keith Miles of Langley, SC, Timothy Don Miles of Graniteville, SC, Darren Miles (Tara) of Lexington, SC, Evelyn Irene Miles of Johnston, SC, Beverly Cassandra Tinsley (Bernard) of Aiken, SC and Meriam Faye Holloway (Anthony) of Aiken, SC; and his sisters, Gladys Grace (Afonso) of Johnston, SC, Frances Stafford of Washington, DC and Ella Mae Hansen of Washington, DC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren; four brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Butler and Sons Funeral Home Chapel (306 N Bouknight Ferry Rd, Saluda, SC 29138). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bible Way Church of Saluda.
