She was predeceased by: her husband James W. Gibson; her parents, Emerson Harvey Newton and Mary Kate Alexander Newton; and her sister Mary Elizabeth Newton. She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Gibson (Jo), Tommy Gibson (Melanie), Mike Gibson (Dixie), Kathy Gibson and Bill Gibson (Beth); her grandchildren, Nickolas Gibson (Martha Campbell), Jessica Williams (Ross), Perrin Bryan (Josh), LeAnn Smith (Daniel), Rucker Gibson and Garrett Gibson; and her great grandchildren, Riggs Bryan, Emersyn Smith and Smith-James Gibson.
