He is survived by: his wife Ruth Williams Smith of Ward, SC; his son John Lewis Smith Jr. (Willie Harris, Jr.) of Augusta, GA; his stepdaughters, Keshia Boynton of Columbia, SC, Erica Jones of Ward, SC and Deydreeon Gilchrist of Augusta, GA; his siblings, Mary Oliver (Ron) of Augusta, Mamie Smith of Augusta, Teresa Smith (Robert) of Augusta, Georgia, Barry Smith of Indiana, Diane Joyner of Indiana, Prendy NeSmith (James) of Alabama and William Walker of Atlanta; his aunt Mary Veasley (Warthen); and his siblings-in-law, Tommie Williams, Jr. (Evangeline) of Ward, SC, Willie James Williams (Annie Ruth) of Trenton, SC, Ernest Williams (Renee) of Columbia, SC, Donald Williams of Johnston, SC, Naomi Smith, Doris Williams McNeely (Bobby) of Snellville, GA and Lesa Jones (Kevin). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
