He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lewie Maxwell Rutland and Olive Kirkland Rutland; his wife Shirley; his sons, Darrin Rutland (Crystal) and Gary Rutland (Sarah); his grandchildren, Grant Rutland, Tripp Harrison and Emily Rutland; and his siblings, Lewis Maxwell Rutland, Janice Rutland Fulmer and John Oscar Rutland. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
