He is survived by: his children, George Byrd, Ronnie Cheatham of Aiken, SC, Michael James of Saluda, SC, Charles Byrd of Columbia, SC, Patricia A. James of Columbia, SC, Gracie Sprouse of Aiken, SC, Gwendolyn Robinson of Aiken, SC and Janie Satterwhite of Johnston, SC; and his sister Ethel R. Byrd of Johnston, SC. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
