He was predeceased by: his spouse Francis Powell Stanley; his parents, Willie "Bill" Stanley, Sr. and Lena Hancock Stanley; his siblings, Johnny Stanley, Kenneth Stanley, Ralph Stanley and Shirley Stanley Leonard; and his brothers-in-law, Randolph Lynch and Charles Rhodes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Stanley and Shannon Sims (Mitchell); his close friend Faye Stanley; his grandchildren, Candice Miles Crawford (Ben), Brittany Nailon, Joshua McGee (Caroline), Abbygail Sauls and Madelyn Sims; his sisters, Jean Lynch and Janice Rhodes; and his son Blake Marsh. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, 4 nieces and 3 nephews.
