He is survived by: his wife Dottie Poston Lyerly; his children, Ward Lyerly (Jackie), Chris Lyerly (Jennifer) and Adam Lyerly (April); his grandchildren, Ben Lyerly, Madison Isgett (John), Jordan Lyerly (Nathan), Hannah Graham, Spencer Graham, Nicholas Lyerly, Davis Lyerly, Jacob Lyerly, Aviary Lyerly and Aidan Lyerly; his sister Rose Marie Goff McDonald; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Calcutt (Johnny) and Miranda Johnson.
