He was predeceased by: his father Zebb Carter; and his brothers-in-law, Buck Jones and Bill Arnone. He is survived by: his mother Carol Wilson Carter; his wife Debra Jones Carter of Johnsonville, SC; his brothers, Jeffrey Carter (Joyce) and Doug Carter; and his siblings-in-law, Johnnie Sue Arnone, Becky Kassis Julie (Raymond), Connie Perkins (Andy), Norman Jones (Dixie) and Sammy Jones (Cheryl). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.
