She was predeceased by: her parents, Risley Cox and Mavis Hanna Cox; and her significant other Norman Newell Turner. She is survived by: her children, Michael Turner (Pat) and Rosemary Dixon (Daniel); her sister Patricia Cox Barrineau; and her caregivers, Cathy Lawson, Kim Lawson, Wille Lou Dixon and Amauri Newkirk. She is also survived by her children's extended families, she leaves seven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews.
