He was predeceased by: his parents, Glennie Preston Welch and Frances Anderson Welch; his siblings, Clifford Welch, Dean Welch and Jean McKenzie; and his daughter Becky Godwin.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Webster Welch of Lake City; his son Jim Turbeville; his grandchild Ashley (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Braydon, Andie, Charlie Crew and Porter Godwin; his siblings, Bobby Welch (Jeanette), Gerald Welch (Joyce), Gail Britt, Randy Welch (Brenda) and Linda Matthews (Levonne); and his sister-in-law Johnnie Welch.
