She was predeceased by: her parents, John Clifton Lyerly and Ella Mae Thompson Lyerly. She is survived by: her husband Donald Richard Wall of Hartsville, SC; her daughters, Donetta White (Larry) of Mt. Vernon, OH and Denise Amerson (Jimmy) of Hartsville, SC; and her grandchildren, Kayla Gault (Tony) of Columbus, OH and Thorn Amerson of Hartsville, SC..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to: Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

“It hurt deeply to hear of JoReta's passing. She was such a lovely person. She had a smile that was chiseled on her face and will still be there thru all eternity. I can't ever remember her without that sweet smile. Without a doubt, she and Hal (Bo) are reminiscing about all the times you four had together. And I am sure that she and Gerald are reminiscing about all their school years together. And, before long, we will be there with them too. What a wonderful day that will be.”
