He is survived by: his wife Betty Carolyn DuRant (Ammons); his children, Joey DuRant (Ann) and Midge Lyerly (Dwayne); his grandchildren, Holly DuRant, Elizabeth Eaddy (Dustin) and James Lyerly; his great grandchildren, Camden Crocker and Noah Eaddy; and his siblings, Danny Laverne DuRant (Dottie) and Vonnie DuRant. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
