With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Dennis Altman (Johnsonville, South Carolina), who passed away on January 30, 2019 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Dennis and Jessie Powell Dennis; her siblings, Everett Dennis, Malvin Dennis and Linda Dennis; and her grandson Harry James "Jamie" Altman, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Joan Hatchell of Columbia, SC, Gloria Chastain (Jerry) of Johnsonville, SC, Cindy Grugan (Bill) of Lexington, SC, Rayford Altman of Davidson, NC, Billy G. Altman (Ann) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Harry J. Altman (Linda) of Surfside Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Caroline Hatchell, Ashley Hagenburger, Catherine Altman, Steve Hatchell, Christopher Altman, Tyson Chastain, Brandon Chastain, Brent Chastain, Will Grugan, Justin Altman, Jonathan Grugan and Brett Grugan; and her sisters, Meredith Hooks and Mavis Moore. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.
