He was predeceased by: his parents, Caleb Pate and Frances Matthews Pate; his sister Jeanette P. Powell; and his nephew Ronnie Powell. He is survived by: his wife Thayedell Floyd Pate of Turbeville; his children, Amanda McGee (Kris) of Lake City, Dwayne Pate (Joyce Nesbitt) of Sumter, Glenn Morris (Amanda Powell) of Turbeville and Ervin Morris (Autumn) of Turbeville; his grandchildren, Liam McGee (Katelyn), Will McGee, Chandler Morris, Cody Morris, Adalynn Powell, Connor Morris, Dane Pate, Mattie Morris and Bennett Morris; his great grandchild Waylon McGee; and his nieces, Donna Carsten and Rhonda Byrd.
