With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ulysses Grant Williamson Jr. of Johns Island, South Carolina, born in Ash, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2024 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulysses Grant Williamson Sr. and Francis Elizabeth Boyd Williamson; and his siblings, Majorie Williamson, Billy Lee Williamson and Kenneth Ray Williamson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Mardant Williamson; his children, Susan Haynes of Johns Island, SC, Barbara Ellis of Charleston, SC and David Williamson (Rebekah) of Johns Island, SC; his grandchildren, Nathan Haynes (Samantha), Johnathan Haynes, Shane Ellis, DJ Williamson, Carol Sue Haynes, Jessica Duggan (Andrew), Amanda Sellers (Jesse) and Taylor Williamson; and his nephew Robert Lee Williamson (Sherry). He is also survived by two step-great-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
