She was predeceased by: her mother Edna Koger; her husband James Brown; her brothers, Nathan Rushton and Junior Rushton; and her granddaughter Sandra Reves.

She is survived by: her sister Thelma Buss; and her children, Shannon Horton, Mary Biering, Faye Johnson (Don Johnson), Ken Pope (Sue Pope) and Lisa Chavis (Marvin Chavis). She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; and 14 Great-Great Grandchildren.
