It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marcia Noes Pettus of Johns Island, South Carolina, born in Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on July 5, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Baker Maxwell and Marcus Maxwell; her brother Marcus Maxwell; and her grandsons, Marcus and Christopher Noes.

She is survived by: her significant other James Pettus; her children, Dennis Noes (Audita), Shawn Noes and Jeffery Noes; her grandchildren, Natalie, Milani, James, Kelly, Michael and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Cole, Connor, Joshua, Trey, Cooper, Abel and Autumn; her sister Katherine Schneider (Richard); her niece Carol Anne; and her pets, Scooter, Harlow and Wookie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Roper St. Francis Cancer Center, 2085 Henry Tecklenburg Dr, Charleston, SC 29414.
