It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Hay Pedersen (Johns Island, South Carolina), who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lydia Clement Hay and Daniel Ellis Hay; her former husband Pete; and her siblings, Motte Legare Hay, Mary H. Jenkins, Ann H. Thomas, Daniel Ellis Hay, Jr., William C. Hay and Eugene Gordon Hay.
She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Eugene Pedersen; her daughters, Lydia Jean Pedersen of Johns Island, SC and Sarah Hay Causey (Nick) of Hollywood, SC; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Thomas Peters (Allison Hamlet) and Sarah Legare Peters McCracken (Brandon). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
