It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guy Leonard Buckner Jr. of Johns Island, South Carolina, born in Ridgeland, South Carolina, who passed away on May 25, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jean McCoy Buckner; and his siblings, Doris Fowler Hardy, Gloria Jean Buckner and Donald Buckner The. He is survived by: his children, Guy Leonard Buckner, III (Leslie), Sandra Branyon (John), Patricia Severson (Bill) and Sharon Buckner; his brother David Buckner; and his brother-in-law Jessie McCoy. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
