He is survived by: his wife Valori of Johns Island, SC; his children, Irma Mazzotti (John), Marcella Pelaez (Mike) and Ernesto Juan Smith, Jr. (Gloria); his sister Susie Pujol (Orlando); his sisters-in-law, Silvia Smith Vega and Elena Smith; and his grandchildren, Andrea Pelaez, Sofia Mazzotti, Alyssa Pelaez, John Michael Mazzotti, Nicolas Smith and Daniella Smith.
