With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Deas Heyward of Johns Island, South Carolina, who passed away on June 13, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Saul Heyward. She is survived by: her children, Anthony VanDyke (Lorraine), Gerald VanDyke (Shirley) and Shannek Dover; her sisters, Thelma Vandyke, Iris Sumter and Althea Wright; her goddaughter Jeanette Wilson; her siblings-in-law, James Dover and Lilian VanDyke; and her nieces, Denise Gregory, Sharon VanDyke, Alexandria Speaks, Taneisha Watkins and Kristin Gibbs. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
