It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Lee Schaffer of Johns Island, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Anna Rebecca Schleppegrell Schaffer; his mother Elizabeth Ann Glover Schaffer; and his siblings, James Frederick Schaffer, Sr. (Betty), Susan Schaffer Davis (John) and Melissa Ann Schaffer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
