With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cynthia Washington of Johns Island, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 13, 2024 at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eissie Middleton Stuckey and Murphy Monroe Middleton; her grandson DeQuan; and her brother Jarnaro Middleton. She is survived by: her husband George O. Washington; her children, Kandrea S. Washington, Denise R. Ancrum and Nicholas W. Washington; her grandchildren, Nicholas Jr., Devin, Donnise, Dominic and Alexis Hamilton (Marcus); her siblings, Murphy M. Middleton, II, Carl Middleton, Reginald Middleton, Gussie Aiken, Angela Stuckey Carrol (Charles), Troy Stuckey and Andrea Stuckey; her aunts, Leona Middleton and Oralee Stroud; and her siblings-in-law, Elma Owens, James Owens and Charles Carrol, Sr.. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Jerusalem AME Church (6179 Bears Bluff Rd, Wadmalaw Island, SC 29487).
