He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Doris Whitmire; his parents, Owens Whitmire and Evelyn Atkins; his children, Denise Shaw (Allen) of Newberry and Kenneth Whitmire (Donna) of Whitmire; his sister-in-law Mary Jo Holsonback of Joanna; his grandchildren, Amy McEntire (Mayes) of Columbia, Allison Plumblee (Michael) of Aiken, Chelsea Elsmore (Ian) of Whitmire, Michael Shaw of Newberry and Robbie Cooper of Whitmire; and his great grandchildren, Brielle, Laney, Silas, Riley, Micah, Evy and Harper.
