It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Lee Demby (Jefferson, South Carolina), born in Chesterfield, South Carolina, who passed away on March 16, 2018, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Mike Cook; and his mother-in-law Georgia Lee Autry. He is survived by: his wife Patricia L. Demby; his children, Michael Thompson (Luz) of Rock Hill, SC and Bryan Thompson of Kershaw, SC; his parents, Paul Demby of Jefferson, SC and Margie Demby of Jefferson, SC; his grandchildren, Matthew Thompson, Andrew Thompson and Julie Thompson; and his siblings, Paula Polk (Michael) of Monroe, NC, Phyllis Deese (Robbie) of Rutherfordton, NC, Barbie Gordon (Randy) of Pageland, SC, Brenda Sullivan (Mark) and Christina Demby Cook. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
