He is survived by : his daughter Lisa Michelle Johnson of Los Angeles, CA; his granddaughter Alyssa Jean Garzon; his siblings, T. Calvin Johnson (Sherry) of Jefferson, SC, James "Jim" Johnson (Betty), Betty Johnson Knight (Lowell) of Charlotte, NC and Shirley Johnson Mills (Gene) of Durham, NC; and his nieces and nephews, Michael Knight of Fort Mill, SC, Stacey Knight Fisher of Rock Hill, SC, Tommy Johnson of Weddington, NC, Joel Johnson of Little River, SC, David Mills (Leila Keen) of Durham, NC and Meredith Mills Therrien (Scott) of Garner, NC..

A graveside service was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rocky Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery (1357 Johnson Rd, Jefferson, SC 29718).
